Thank you to each of you for your enthusiasm and participation in our MIYC Book Club! Due to popular demand, we have expanded our program to include 10 books. • 5 nonfiction selections (SECOND Thursday of each month)
• 5 fiction selections (LAST Thursday of the month). • Specific dates will be assigned by December.

Fiction West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge A journey through the United States in the late 1930s; Based on a true story. A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens Set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution. Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro A Dystopian story told by Klara, a solar-powered AF (Artificial Friend). Horse by Geraldine Brooks Art and science, love and obsession, and our unfinished reckoning with racism. Bugman by Peter Karl The inner workings of an Investigative Reporter’s mind to get the story.

The time for our Book Club is 12:00 noon for social and our “Signature” Cocktail. Presentation occurs during our first course. We have our individual table discussions (with suggested discussion questions) while we are enjoying our book-themed luncheon. A wrap-up discussion and dessert conclude our afternoon.
