10.1 Probationary Employee Evaluations

10.1.1 Regular classified probationary members of the bargaining unit shall receive at

least three formal written evaluation reports on District forms. Such evaluations shall be
5
made by the end of the third, sixth and tenth months of service. If the third, sixth or tenth
6
month of service falls when a member is not in paid status, the evaluation shall occur in
7
the month when the member returns to paid status.
10.1.2 Effective July 1, 2020, probationary period for members shall be six (6) months,

or 130 days of paid service, whichever is longer. Probationary period shall include days
10
of absence for illness or injury and vacation, as enumerated in this Agreement. It shall not
11
include time worked as a substitute, temporary or short-term employee, or otherwise
12
worked outside the classified service.
10.1.3 A member attains permanency in a position the first work day following the
13
14
completion of the probationary period in that position.
10.1.4 If, at any time after a member has attained permanency in a position, that
15
16
member accepts or is assigned to another position of equal or greater pay, that member
17
shall serve a probationary period in the new position.
10.2 Permanent Employee Evaluations

10.2.1 Regular classified permanent members of the bargaining unit shall receive at
19
20
least one written evaluation report on the District form every two (2) years. This
21
evaluation shall be completed prior to the end of the member's work year, but not later
22
than June 30 of the year in which the evaluation is due. If a member does not receive an
23
evaluation report by June 30 of the year it is due, the evaluation shall be deemed
24
satisfactory.
10.2.2 A permanent member may be evaluated by the member's immediate supervisor

at any time.
