12.9.1 Level I - Informal Resolution - Any grievant who believes there is a grievance

shall present the grievance orally to the immediate supervisor within fifteen (15) days
3
after the grievant knew or with reasonable diligence would have known of the
4
circumstances which formed the basis for the grievance. Failure to do so will render the
5
grievance null and void. The Supervisor shall hold a conference and attempt to resolve
6
the matter within five (5) working days after the presentation of the grievance. It is the
7
intent of this informal meeting that at least one personal conference will be held between
8
the grievant and the immediate supervisor.
12.9.2 Level II - Formal Resolution - If the grievance is not settled during the informal

conference and the grievant wishes to press the matter, the grievant shall present the
11
grievance, in writing on the District grievance form, to the immediate supervisor and
12
shall send a copy to the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources, within ten (10)
13
working days after the oral decision by the supervisor. The written information shall
14
include:
12.9.2.1 A description of the specific grounds of the grievance, including
15
16
names, dates, and places necessary for complete understanding of the grievance.
12.9.2.2 A listing of the provisions of this Agreement which are alleged to
17
18
have been violated.
12.9.2.3 A listing of the specific action requested of the District which will
19
20
remedy the grievance.
The immediate supervisor , Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources, or designee shall
21
22
meet with the grievant within five (5) working days. The disposition of the grievance
23
shall be indicated in writing within five (5) working days of the meeting with copies to
24
the grievant and the Association.
