Medical assistant Aaliyah Cates has been a member of the Pain Management and Treatment Center sta for 19 years. She originally started work at PMTC as a clerical assistant, after hearing about the clinic from her mother, who is a friend of clinic founder Pamela omas-King, M.D.’s parents.en she moved into the medical assistant role, which has been a good t for her skills and interests. Cates' responsibilities at the clinic include greeting patients when they arrive, taking their medical histories, updating patients' charts, and also overseeing the operation of the medical lab. She also works in the operating room, where patients receive injections to treat their chronic pain. Cates enjoys working at PMTC and likes the family-oriented atmosphere. “It's like one big family here.” She especially enjoys seeing patients who have been suering with chronic pain get better due to the care PMTC provides. “Seeing them get better brings great satisfaction.”
