What has AMBA accreditation and membership of the AMBA network meant for your school since your accreditation was first announced? “With AMBA accreditation, GIM validates its commitment to the highest standards in postgraduate management education. Each stakeholder of GIM, including its students, alumni, faculty and staff, has played a role in securing this accreditation and is motivated to continue its commitment to responsible management and innovation. “The accreditation has also strengthened the standing of GIM in the academic ecosystem and provided an opportunity for the school to be an exemplar for positive impact right across the globe.” How would you describe your business school’s unique selling point to other members of the AMBA network? “GIM strives to equip future leaders with competence and character in order to address emerging global business and social challenges. “Our focus has been on integrating cutting-edge technologies, the latest business practices, responsible leadership and management (with an emphasis on social sensitivity) and value-based management. We believe the time is ripe to create morally healthy, technologically competent and socially sensitive business leaders.”
under three categories. ‘Learning-focused’ clubs include associations for CSR and finance while ‘fun-focused’ endeavours encompass clubs for sports, culture and heritage. Alongside these are clubs that sustain campus life and activities, such as the student advisory council. GIM has a firm focus on enacting positive change and has been nominated for the BGA Business School Impact Award 2024. Its ongoing community engagement initiative GiveGoa, for example, conducted more than 400 projects in its first 10 years across education, agriculture, public health and social welfare. GIM’s library is at the disposal of students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is said to house more than 24,800 management and related books and offer access to 103 hard copies of global management journals, as well as online resources.
