Sports Excellence Cricket I f I could choose one word to describe this year’s often changed cricket programme, I would - like most modern day cricketers - use the word ‘adaptability’. We unfortunately missed out on a summer of school cricket last year and, although we were able to offer cricket nets for the remaining four weeks of last year’s Summer Term, the school was unable to play matches despite the hours of training during the winter months. For this reason, we welcomed being able to play fixtures in the new academic year and played five matches throughout September.
