Ko je Filip Filip Bulatović, umetničkog imena Ma- po Keys, srpski je džez muzičar, pijani- sta, kompozitor, pop/fank kantautor i producent. Rođen je 1987. u Beogra- du, gde nastupa od svoje 16. godine, još kao učenik Srednje muzičke ško- le Stanković . Muzičku akademiju upi- suje u Kelnu, gde uči od najvećih ime- na džeza, da bi već na početu karijeru nastavio paralelno i u Srbiji i u Nemač- koj, nastupajući sa brojnim velikani- ma. Sa svega 19 godina formira svoj džez trio i snima prvi album, da bi se uskoro oprobao i u pop/fank muzi- ci. Godine 2019. objedinjuje ceo svoj popularni autorski opus pod umet- ničkim imenom MAPO Keys i formi- ra devetočlani bend sa kojim nastupa u prestižnom njujorškom klubu Nublu . U maju 2021. postaje član Big benda RTS-a, prvobitno kao pijanista, a po- tom i kao dirigent. Svojom energijom pridobio je najširu publiku nastupom u revijalnom delu Pesme za Evroviziju . who is Filip Filip Bulatović, who performs under the artistic name Mapo Keys, is a Serbi- an jazz musician, pianist and compos- er, and a pop/funk singer-songwriter and producer. Born in Belgrade in 1987, he has been performing in the Serbi- an capital since he was 16, when he was still a student of the Stanković Second- ary Music School. He enrolled at the Music Academy in Cologne, where he learned from the biggest names in jazz, only to continue the playing career he’d already started, in Serbia and Germany simultaneously, performing alongside numerous greats. It was at the tender age of 19 that he formed his own jazz trio and recorded his first album, only to try his hand at pop/funk music soon af- terwards. He unified his entire popu- lar authorial opus in 2019, under the ar- tistic name MAPO Keys, and formed a nine-member band with which he per- formed at New York’s prestigious Nublu Club. He became a member of the RTS Big Band in May 2021, initially as a pia- nist, then later as conductor. His energy enabled him to gain the widest possible audience by performing in the review section of the Eurovision Song Contest.

I first arrived in New York as a tourist in 2015, and I stayed for a year and a half, gaining the status of a free artist. Views are what con- stantly reawaken my ad- oration of New York. The view of Manhattan from the water, from the direction of Long Island’s East and West Hampton, from where I would return after house parties where I often performed. Famous sunsets, when the colour orange washes the ends of parallel streets facing west. Nights out with even starker colouring and more intense glaring, when the city, in all its com- motion, is nonetheless half deserted. Contributing to that impression, in

my case, is a sleepless night, spent hanging around discos. Personally, I usually end up “stuck” at the classic Nublu Club, in Manhattan’s East Village, where they play a mixture of jazz and other musical directions, but anyone can find something to suit their tastes at any time of day or night in New York. And not only that, but also to choose without being denied in a sin- gle case, whether it comes to mu- sic, food, theatre, museums etc. And every one of these places is perfectly adapted to serve its purpose.
