minding us that we are strongest when we join forces in the service of some noble goal, and that in every seemingly ordinary person there is a hero,” said Air Serbia Captain Mar- ko Otanjac. The “They are heroes” initiati- ve was launched in 2020 by the De- legation of the European Union to Serbia, in cooperation with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, with
the aim of recognising and rewar- ding individuals for their examples of courage, solidarity and selflessne- ss. Real heroes are those who have the strength to always put goodne- ss ahead of themselves when that’s most difficult. Given that we’ve been confronted by the world’s big- gest challenge over the past two years, every hero deserves to have their story heard far and wide.
