“My daily activity is what I report on, not whether I enrolled four customers.” The results of that daily activity are crucial for setting new goals and making plans for the next day and the next week. Every team member is involved in the reporting—as well as in helping each other set individual and team goals and plans. “With Fast Track,” Corporate Director 4 Mark Atha says, “you have a team leader who’s getting the team members together each week and asking the following: ‘How many calls are we going to make this week? How many appointments are we going to set? How many Melaleuca Overview presentations are we going to do? How many enrollments will we get?’ “And then, on a weekly basis, the team members are working that plan, then coming back to report results and celebrate success. That’s when you know you’ve got business builders engaged in the activities. They’re feeling obligated because they volunteered for the accountability. They decided to plug in to Fast Track.”

Corporate Director 6 Erin Clark knows that allowing her entire team to hold her accountable for her own efforts helps her team members gain the confidence to duplicate her efforts. “Our approach to accountability opens up a level of authenticity as my team members watch me persevere through challenges,” Erin says, “and it shows them how hard I have to work to build and achieve. “Accountability done right ensures your success,” Executive Director 6 Laurie Proskin says. She admits that she doesn’t like to hear the word accountability . “It makes me think of a teacher pointing out that I’m not doing as well as I thought I was,” she says. “But I love the principle of accountability. I have learned that if I set a goal and put the accountability process into action, I will hit that goal! Staying accountable for the right things. “Accountability should be focused on the activity that will give you the results you want,” Laurie adds. “If my goal is to personally enroll four customers this month, what do I need to be doing daily?
