When you put on your Melaleuca hat, and when you are intentional doing what you are doing, your message is going to come across so clearly that people will be able to hear your heart!” Danielle also advises arriving 30 minutes early to work or waking up 30–60 minutes before the world wakes up to set a time frame for your Melaleuca business. “I also coach my team to use habit stacking as a technique to grow their business, like writing down five names that you are going to contact while you eat lunch,” says Danielle. “Since you eat lunch everyday already, if you just build on your existing habits every single day, you’re never going to eat lunch again without doing your five approaches.” “I believe that people are more responsive to you in the morning before the world poops on them,” Danielle laughs. “You want to get to them before the flat tire, before they get the call from school that their kid is sick. When you do your Critical Business-Building Activities first, you can be in response mode the rest of the day and maximize your time to build your Melaleuca business.”
Danielle Odom first converted her home to safer, cleaner Melaleuca products four years ago because it made a lot of sense for her family. Little did she know that two years later, she would need to leave her hospice nursing career to homeschool her first grader. Fortunately, her Melaleuca business was flexible enough to fit with her new role. As a busy military wife and mother of four, Danielle understands the importance of time management in running a successful Melaleuca business. “When we do Strategy Sessions, one of the first things I ask new Marketing Executives is ‘Give me a rundown of your daily schedule,’” Daneille says. “I find out when they go to work, when they wake up in the morning, when their kids have nonnegotiable activities, and we find a time for them to work Melaleuca into their life in two to three 20- or 30-minute segments of their day.” Danielle then coaches her team to use those “Melaleuca time frames” to do Critical Business-Building Activities 1, 2, and 3. “We use these 20–30 minutes to fill out our accountability
