GRAND RESIDENCE – EXTENDING THE FANTASTIC LEGACY OF THE HOTEL GRAND MK Group brings a new concept to the mountain home
The previous year was a par- ticularly important one in the 40-year tradition of mountain tourism in Serbia. It was in 2021 that MK Gro- up completed the reconstruction and complete rebranding of Kopaonik’s Ho- tel Grand, with which this hotel, whi- ch is certainly the most famous hotel on Serbia’s mountain roof, received a new shimmer. With a then total inve- stment of 35 million euros, this com- pany once again made Kopaonik the pinnacle of regional tourism. Following the opening of the doors of the Grand with a completely revitalised ambien- ce at the beginning of the last winter season, guests had at their disposal a new spa and wellness centre, four re- designed restaurants, a cigar bar, a sun terrace, a children’s playroom and ot- her amenities tailored to the needs of the modern tourist. “The complete redesign of the Grand and new services also created an excellent start to the next investment cycle that followed,” says Aleksandra Stojanović, who is leading these inves- tments and is also MK Group’s director of corporate affairs, speaking in this in- terview for Elevate. Grand Residence justifies its name with modern and sophistica- ted interior design, as well as the overall impression that it exudes. Elegant, re- fined and comfortable, in colours that are fully integrated into the ambience of the mountain where they are loca- ted, these apartments represent the ideal extension of the legacy associated with the name Grand Kopaonik. The apartments are fully equipped and these are multifunctional units that provide everything, even when it co- mes to the smaller units: a daytime living space, a sleeping block, as well as a di- ning area. An 18-metre-long swimming pool, an a la carte restaurant, a ski equ- ipment centre (skijašnica) that’s unique anywhere on Kopaonik, with its special technology, direct access to the slo- pes and access to all bars and restau- rants – these are all segments that will distinguish Grand Residence. We have once again confirmed that the stren- gth of our knowledge and experience in investments, as well as in the mana- gement of real estate and hotels, ha- ve provided added value to this facili- ty and formed a good introduction to future projects in the plans of MK Gro- up in this specific area of operations.
