Okićena raznobojnim kineskim fenjerima, puna je butika, barova i prelepo re- stauriranih istorijskih zgrada, koje uglavnom potiču iz dinastije Mi- ng. To uključuje kitnjasto ukrašeni taoistički hram iz 14. veka, pavi- ljon Cara od žada i svetilište Kra- ljice neba, lokalne boginje mora. Huangža kod Velikog zida Huangža, ili Žuta litica, deo kineskog Velikog zida, vijuga pre- ko strmih, talasastih grebena u prirodnom živopisnom području Ganlušan, dva sata vožnje sever- no od Tjenđina. Zid je izgrađen u 6. veku, a obložen je ciglom go- tovo 700 godina kasnije, tokom vladavine dinastije Ming. Potpu- no je obnovljen i velika je atrak- cija, posebno vikendom.

Adorned with hanging colour- ful Chinese lanterns, it bristles with boutiques, snack bars and beautifully restored historical buildings, most- ly dating back to the Ming Dynas- ty. These include an ornately gabled 14 th Century Taoist temple, the Jade Emperor Pavilion and a shrine to the Queen of Heaven, a local sea goddess. Huangya Pass at The Great Wall The Huangya, or Yellow Cliff, pass is a section of the Great Wall of China that winds its way over steep, undulating ridges in the Ganlushan Natural Scenic Area, a two-hour drive north of Tianjin. The wall here was first constructed in the 6 th centu- ry AD and received its brick façade nearly 700 years later, during the Ming Dynasty. It has today been ful- ly restored and represents a major attraction, especially at weekends.

Kada je linija otvorena, 1. av- gusta 2008. godine, postavila je rekord za naj- bržu uslugu konvencionalnog voza na svetu, uz maksimalnu brzinu i smanjeno vreme putovanja sa 70 na 30 minuta.
Half an hour to Beijing The Beijing–Tianjin intercity railway is a Chinese high-speed railway that runs for 117 kilometres between the two cities. Designed exclusively to cater for passenger traffic, the Chinese government built the line to accommodate trains travelling at a maximum speed of 350 km/h. When the line first opened on 1 st August 2008, its top speed ensured that it set a new record for the fastest conventional train service in the world, reducing travel time from 70 to 30 minutes.
