Attracting Students by Trusting in Data and Digitalized Processes One of the top 10 organizations in Slovenia and among the top 600 academic rankings worldwide, the publicly funded University of Ljubljana (UL) is the oldest and largest higher education and scientific research institution in the country. With a rich tradition that began in 1919, it has about 40,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and employs 6,000 teachers, researchers, assistants, and administrative staff in 23 faculties and three arts academies. UL’s mission is to modernize the university while engaging in industry collaborations, commercialization, and European research projects that will enable it to become a leader in knowledge transfer. To meet this goal, UL wanted to unify separate IT systems to support its operations in the areas of finance, accounting, and human resources.
