Founded more than 100 years ago, Universidad de Concepción is a private university and one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Chile. Managed by Corporación Universidad de Concepción, the organization aims to contribute to regional development and operates several other institutions, including Instituto Profesional Virginio Gómez, Centro de Formación Técnica Lota Arauco, and Lotería de Concepción.
