Digitalizing operations in the cloud for more business agility Cheerland Biotechnology is committed to making biomedicine affordable and accessible worldwide. Engaged in molecular diagnostics, biologics contract development and manufacturing, and the provision of clinical services, the company aspires to be recognized as a leading biotech enterprise in China and globally. The company was selected into the Xinhua News Agency’s National Brands Project in 2021. Led by an international team with extensive experience in biologics manufacturing, Cheerland Biotechnology provides large-scale manufacturing services to the global biotech industry. This includes offering the first 15-kiloliter bioreactor in China, robust process design, and compliance with global regulations. Conducting the majority of its business overseas, the time was right for Cheerland Biotechnology to streamline compliance with the current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) quality standards regulated by the World Health Organization (WHO). It also had to meet the European Union’s data privacy regulations. To achieve these aims, the company needed to modernize its operations on a digital foundation, unify data and processes across the four businesses, and enable data-driven decision-making. As a first step, Cheerland Biotechnology sought a scalable and future-ready technology foundation to unify its business operations and support the integration of other SAP solutions in due course.
