Zahvaljujući klimi i specifičnom bio- diverzitetu, ovde su sjajni uslovi za pčelarstvo. Smatra se da su se na ovim prostorima od davnina gaji- le pčele jer su ga u dalekoj prošlo- sti naseljavali Tračani, Kelti, Rimlja- ni i na kraju Sloveni, koji su u svojoj tradiciji imali pčelarstvo. Med i pče- le zastupljeni su u narodnoj medici- ni istočne Srbije, verovanjima i obi- čajima, a najzastupljeniji su šumski, bagremov, lipov i livadski med.
HONEY
This area’s climate and specific biodiversity create excellent apiculture conditions. Bees are believed to have been reared in this area since ancient times, as it was inhabited by traditional beekeeping cultures like the Thracians, Celts, Romans and, finally, Slavs. Honey and bees are included in the folk medicine of Eastern Serbia, in local beliefs and customs, and the most common types of honey here are forest, acacia, linden and meadow honey.
