You studied economics. Do you ever wonder what would have happened had you followed that path? “Economics taught me a lot of interesting things, but those days have passed. I needed it back then, and it interested me in a different way than now. I love acting. That’s my desire now. And I’m happy where I am. I wouldn’t meddle with any- thing there. But who knows how long that will be the case? Some- thing might change tomorrow, I’m open to all challenges.” Fame and popularity haven’t made you vain? “Age takes its toll. That has noth - ing to do with popularity. I’m chang- ing, hopefully for the better, moving towards wisdom and peace. I’m not an actor who’s famous and I don’t see myself as such.” People who’ve worked with you say that you could cope with any role... Do you have that kind of self-confidence? “Not even close! Huge nerves come with every role and I prepare for each one and seek something in it. I’m aware of my limits, which I try to overcome and conquer. I love to learn and do so constantly. I’m just returning from an acting workshop, and it reminded me of my first year of studying and that I must invest even more in myself and my work.” Could you imagine your life without acting? “I could imagine that, on condi- tion that I discover something that’s more attractive and more creative for me than acting. I so far haven’t found that anywhere else. In a cre- ative sense, I’m interested in direct - ing and music and production and literature. If something grips me, I dive into it! For now, acting is the most complex and takes holds of me the most, because it encompasses all of that at many levels. I still love acting, it seems to me, more than it loves me, and we love each other reciprocally, and that’s great.”

of a month and a half, because it is masterfully good to me, and I rarely read the same book twice. I only return to the books that are fondest to me more than once, and Milena’s quickly became my favourites.” How do you feel as one of the most sought-after actors in the Balkans? “I don’t see myself that way. I can’t evaluate my acting – that should be done by others. But I do feel like I still have lots to learn and new acting spaces to conquer. That’s also why I’m both satisfied and humbled. I’m constantly re- searching something new and that makes me happy.” Do you have any unfulfilled desire? “I don’t. My desire is to make every role special. Even while I was playing roles in the theatre, I nev- er yearned for some great titles and characters. I endeavoured to explore and grow with each role.” Do you still love the theatre stage? “My heart still burns to perform in the theatre! I’m on the hunt for a

good play, character and director.” And Hollywood? “Not at any price. If a good pro- ject for me arose in Hollywood, I’d be delighted. But not Hollywood for the sake of Hollywood! I’d rather act on the European film scene.”

Mnogo se radujem svakom putovanju jer dobijem adrenalin, nadu, samopouzdanje i saznanje I really look forward to every journey, because I gain adrenaline, hope, self-confidence and new knowledge
