We do need to ask one favor from all that wish to volunteer; Please RSVP! When we know in advance how many volunteers we are going to have, it allows us to be better organized. Don’t get me wrong, I will always be very happy to have walk up volunteers, but better planning allows us to cover more ground in a more efficient manner. If we have a few more volunteers at the next Social, we may be able to fill divots on the fairways and fix Ball Marks on greens during that one-hour time slot! Again, THANK YOU to all who came out to the Social and to those who practice filling your divots on a regular basis. I will keep you posted as to the date of our next Divot Social.

I want to thank everyone that volun- teered for our first Divot Social on April 11th. We had a great turn out - about

40 members - and it was a spectacular evening to fill divots. This is crazy, but in one hours’ time we were able to fill EIGHTEEN HOLES of divots! Afterwards we gathered on the Oak Terrace for another hour of free beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres. I also want to give a shout out to all the members who fill their divots as they make them. All the volun - teers commented on how many divots were already filled by every day golfing members. Thank you! I received many compliments about putting the Divot Social together and have been asked if I can organize more of these types of events. Absolute- ly! These events are great to not only ensure your golf course is always improving, but it’s nice to meet fellow members and strike up new friendships. We will let everyone know when we get the next one scheduled.
