What Can You Do to Prepare? Before you start the registration process, identify your organization’s workforce needs and choose the individual(s) who will be acting as your program supervisor(s). What’s a Sponsor? An employer, association, or organization that designs and oversees the training programs and handles program administration.

The Process:

1. Contact an ApprenticeshipNC Consultant in Your Area 2. Work With Your Consultant to Create a Program That Suits Your Business a. Your consultant helps you…

1. Identify your Apprenticeable Occupation(s) 2. Determine the Program Approach and Duration 3. Create a Work Process Schedule and Training Plan 4. Develop Program Requirements and Policies 5. Design a Progressive Wage Scale 6. Register the Program

3. Check Your Program a. The ANC Director will review and approve your program based on your input 4. Register Your Program a. Finalize your standards and receive your certificate of registration 5. Launch Your Program a. Once launched, new and current employees can complete your program and earn the certificates and credentials necessary for their positions 6. Record Your Program a. Document your program information in NCRAN, the official ApprenticeshipNC database
