What is Registered Apprenticeship?
Registered Apprenticeship, established in North Carolina in 1939, is an employer-driven earn- and-learn model.
Registered Apprenticeship helps employers develop their workforce through paid work experience and supplemental education. Apprentices also receive progressive wage increases and obtain a portable, nationally recognized credential. Registered Apprenticeships are industry-vetted and are approved by the U.S. Department of Labor or a State Apprenticeship Agency.

Apprenticeship is for anyone 16 years or older looking to transition into a new career or begin their career in an in-demand field
