The final tournament of basketball’s EuroLeague will this year be held in the Serbian capital, which proved itself to be a wonderful host in 2018

That’s the wish of all of us who are involved in the or- ganisation of this event in any way. I’ve always been greatly opposed to us gaining an event of Europe- an and world proportions to host without sport in Serbia having any additional benefits from all that. I think we’ll all do everything we can
to the coronavirus, and last year in Cologne the hall was empty, so we have an opportunity to provide all lovers of basketball with the chance to watch the sport directly in the hall after a three-year break. That’s another good thing. Over the previ- ous period, the State of Serbia and the City of Belgrade have togeth- er done a lot to secure this event. The people from the EuroLeague really appreciate us for everything we can do to promote and develop basketball. We’re awaited by a real spectacle at the Štark Arena,” con- cludes Sunturlić.
