This New Age is to be known as the Manistic Age (The Living Christ, p. 56). The doctrine of reincarnation is advocated by many a false cult. The soul is supposed to enter into a dif ferent body after death, and to have as many successive incarnations as is necessary to purge it from sin. Needless to say, no appeal to Scrip ture is made. Indeed, the Bible teaches that forgiveness is obtained through the blood of Christ and not through self-purification by means of repeated incarnations. “ It is ap pointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment” (Heb. 9: 27). The doctrine of the transmigra tion of souls is opposed to Scripture and reason. “ That which is bom of the flesh is flesh” (John 3 :6 ). It is necessary to be bom of the Holy Spirit in order to be saved. T he S pirit of A ntichrist The Rosicrucian does not accept the Bible as the final authority for faith and practice. Thus, he is free to teach whatever the imagination of his heart may dictate. It is not surprising that heretical concepts are held regarding the person of Christ. In the words of John: “ Here by know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world” (I John 5:2, 3). The.Rosicrucian denies the plain statement of Scripture that “ the Word was made flesh” (John 1:14). The deity of Christ is also denied, consequently salvation is not be stowed by Him. This flatly contra dicts the Word of God that it is by grace we are saved, not of ourselves, and not of works (Eph. 2:8, 9). Rosicrucianism further teaches that we must purge ourselves and become our own Saviour. Actually, the description of the doctrines of this cult carries with it its own scripture, it should not be difficult to refute the system since it is diametrically opposed to the Word of God.
