University overview The University of Law is the UK’s longest-established and largest* specialist provider of legal education and training in the UK. Our Employability Service gives students access to work experience, pro bono and legal vacancies as soon as they accept their place. The result is excellent employability statistics: 94% of our 2018/19 UK postgraduate students secured work or further study within 15 months of successfully completing their course (based on Graduate Outcomes data). 52% of our full-time UK/EEA Bar Practice Course students graduating in 2019 secured a pupillage (based on student data collated September 2021).

Postgraduate Diploma in Law (full time/part time/online) Our PGDL is a pathway into practice for non-law graduates wishing to qualify as a solicitor or a barrister. It’ll provide you with the knowledge to make the transition into legal study with excellent levels of support from our tutors. MA Law (Conversion) (full time/part time/online) Our MA Law (Conversion) is aimed at non-law graduates who want to qualify as a solicitor or a barrister and will teach the practical legal skills of analysis and critical evaluation. MA Law (SQE1) (full time/part time/online) Our MA Law (SQE1) is designed for non-law graduates wanting to gain a Master’s qualification and sit the SQE1 assessments. It’ll give you the academic legal knowledge needed and will encourage you to think like a lawyer from the start. SQE Law Essentials (full time/part time/online) This short online course is an introduction into the essentials of legal knowledge required for SQE1. LLM Legal Practice (SQE1 and 2) (full time/part time/online) Our LLM Legal Practice (SQE1 and 2) is designed for graduates who want to qualify as a solicitor using the SQE route whilst also gaining a Master’s award.
