The Governor has resigned and left the city with most of the troops of the third division and the aspirant for the office is expected to enter at any time. Humanly speaking it seems almost certain that war will result within the next few months, and who will be gov ernor and what the political situation will be by the time you read these lines It is impossible to guess. Please pray for the peace of this province and city, and for the blessing of God on the seed which has been sown In the hearts of these soldiers during the last few weeks. One or two nights we had as many as fourteen hundred here. Half of them listened to the preaching of the Gospel in groups of about one hundred each while the other half saw the pictures in the auditorium, then they changed places so that all had the privilege of seeing the slides.
