Books to Make You Praise Him You want a radiant life— Perhaps the strain of riii« age is clouding your smile? These books were written for your joy. Mounting Up W ith W ings By Northcote Deck The Foreword reads: “ God wants men not only to be ‘Born again,' but {to be well born; He desires them not only to be saved, but to be mightily saved; saved not only from the future penalty of sin, but also from the present power of sin in daily living. He is not satisfied that men should have ‘Life in Christ Jesus’ merely; He desires that they should have 'life more abundantly. These pages on “ Mounting Up With Wings, written amid many distractions, on the “ Evangel," mission vessel in the Solomons, seek to set forth some of the unrealized possibilities of "the life of simple faith” of every believer, and to urge each and all to expect, and to obtain, greater things from God.____________________________ Cloth $1.28 The Glory Christian By An Unknown Christian The Victorious Life

FISHERMEN’S CLUB GOSPEL TEAM A Gospel Team o f about ten splendid, conse crated young men are planning to go up through California this summer, taking the Inland route, leaving Los Angeles about the middle of June, They will live in their own tents and give out the Gospel message and literature in the homes and on the streets, and will be glad to hold ser vices in any of the towns along their route, wherever desired, either in an available church, or any other place which may be provided, W® heartily commend them to the prayers o f all God’s people. Any one who would like to get in touch with them may do so by communicating with them through the editor, T. C. Horton, 58« S. Hope Street, Los Angeles, California.

By An Unknown Christian Most men hesitate to speak of their own spiritual experi ences. They are deterred by the fear of making “ self” too prominent, or are ashamed to confess how much practical Unbelief and half-heated allegi ance to their Lord exist in their lives. The writer of this book knows his own unworthiness ; but ho humbly believes that he also knows something of the worthiness of an All-suffi cient Saviour. The manner in which this knowledge came — through an apparently trivial incident— is itself remarkable. The immediate result was a joy which no bridling could restrain. But whenever this Victorious Life was spoken of, requests were made for “ some thing in print.“ After much pressure from many directions, and with much hesitation on the part of the writer, he ventured to put down his re flections. Glory is a word which has escaped from h e a v e n ; for Glory — like its Author, the King of Glory— cannot be hid. The most illustrious of all con verts was won to Christ by a vision of the Glory. And he henceforth exulted in the Glory of his message— the Glory, of the Cross; the Glory of the Gospel; the Glory of his very tribulations; the Glory of God’s grace; the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. St. Paul may indeed be called a Glory-Christian. But this Glory is for us also. The Lord Jesus Christ desires every one of us, His followers, to be “ to the praise of His Glory.“ This little book goes forth with the purpose of showing that the Glimpses of Glory granted to Old Testament saints have become the Gift of Glory to us who live in the dispensation of the “Spirit of GloryJ" Art Paper 75 cents The Happy Christian

JOINT TENANTS A dying Judge the day before his departure to be with Christ said to his pastor, “ Do you know enough about law to understand what is meant by Joint tenancy?” "No,” ^was the reply; “ I know nothing about law; I know a little about grace, and that satisfies me.” “Well,” he said, “ if you and I were Joint tenants on a farm, I could not say to you that is your hill of corn and this is mine; that is your blade of grass and this is mine; but we would share and share alike in everything on the place. I have Just been lying here and thinking with unspeakable Joy that Jesus Christ has nothing apart from me, that everything He has is mine, and we will share alike through all eternity.” Notice has already been given in The King’s Business S. s. Quarterly, and is now repeated here, that at the end of this year (1926) we will discontinue publishing helps on the Whole Bible Series of Sunday School. Lessons, and devote ourselves to the International Series only, incorpor ating them with The King’s Business magazine proper, as was formerly done. This course* has been deemed wise for various reasons, chief among which is the fact of much duplication between the Whole Bible Series and the International Series of Scripture portions selected for study. While the International Outline will be followed, the lessons will, of course, be treated from a definitely Funda mental Standpoint, and we are sure that those who depend upon The King’s Business for help in preparing their les sons for teaching will not be disappointed. n n SORROW FOR PAST SIN (W ritte n from rea l ex p erien ce b y a patien t in the O eneral H o s pital, L os A n geles, w h o reads and lo v e s Th e K in g ’s B u sin ess). Since I have learned to know Thee, Lord, and how Thou lovest me, My head is bowed in sorrow for the grief I've brought to Thee; .The crown of thorns, the cruel spear, these for me Thou did'st bear,— The scourge, the cross of Calvary, all because Thou did’st care. My head is bowed in sorrow and my eyes are filled with tears, When I think of all the grief I’ve caused, and of my wasted years; I pray that Thou wilt give me strength to do Thy holy will, As Thou dost speak to my sad heart, “ Forgiven— peace, be still!” AIL ' AIL M Ok IMPORTANT NOTICE TO SUNDAY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENTS AND TEACHERS!

By An Unknown Christian The author says; “ There can be no doubt whatever that the Lord Jesus desires His followers to be full of joy. He Himself declared that His joy is in His disciples, and that our joy may be full (St. john XV. II). •There is just as little doubt that’nothing need rob us of our joy at any time.” “ Your joy no man taketh from you," said our Lord (St. John XVI. 22 ). So we are not merely to be joyous on occasions of joy, but at aH times. So we have ventured to call this book “ The Happy Christian” — for with most people happiness and joy are interchangeable termi; although the joy of the Christian should be quite untouched by the “ haps" of life. ________________________ Art Paper 75 cents The Search By Grace Livingston Hill As we follow the absorbing romance of Ruth Mac Donald, ‘True Blue," and John Cameron, her soldier boy correspondent, we soon realize that into the pages of this exciting story the author has put a conviction and fervor that lifts the story far beyond the ordinary fiction class. It is more than a simple narrative; it is a revela tion of the struggle and search which many a soldier and his sweetheart at home went through during the days of the great war. The Gospel message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is most interestingly interwoven through the story. Cloth $1.7S If money does not accompany order, goods will bs sent C. O. D.
