Vincent graduated in 2005 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy with Honours from Dalhousie University. Vince’s career has spanned 14 years working across Canada and the UK. Julian has been a registered Physiotherapist since 2003 in Ontario where he practised primarily in long term care and post surgical rehabilitation as well as orthopaedics.

Throughout his practice he has specialized mostly in post surgical hip and knee replacements, gait re-training and prescription of assistive devices. He has also diversified his practice in the field of orthopaedics, treating sports related injuries and repetitive strain injuries. Julian recently took an interest in vestibular rehabilitation and post concussion management, which treats positional vertigo, post falls and both traumatic/acquired brain injuries. He continues to also work part time at residential care facilities and has been an advocate for active seniors on falls prevention programs and aqua therapy. In his spare time he enjoys a number of outdoor sports as well as kickboxing, cycling and is also an avid flyer. • Weekend and Evening Appointments • ICBC Provider

Supported Bridge Lie on your back with knees bent and feet hip distance apart. Place your feet close enough so they can be touched by your finger tips. Inhale and while lifting the hips, place a block under the sacrum. Keep the chest open, breathe deeply, and relax. He has special interest in hypermobility/Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome working with the local community and Mount Sinai Hospital. Vince is originally from Nova Scotia. He brings a friendly smile and outgoing personality. Fitness is an important part of Vince’s life and he goes to the gym regularly. He likes adventure holidays, be it hiking in Patagonia or visiting the pyramids. Furthermore, Vince is a bit of a research nerd. SPECIALIST SPOTLIGHT MATTHEW T YLER, Physiotherapist, BScPT, MCPA

MatthewTylergraduatedasaphysiotherapist from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland in 1999 having previously completed a degree in Physiology and Sports Science at Glasgow University in 1995. Since graduating and moving to Victoria, Matt has worked as a physiotherapist primarily treating orthopaedic and sports injuries. Matt’s patients experience the benefits of his ‘hands on’ approach. He utilizes a broad

range of treatment techniques including joint mobilizations; multiple deep tissue techniques and corrective exercise to restore movement, function and optimize recovery. He treats a diverse range of clients of all ages. From the general population requiring assessment and diagnosis of acute/traumatic injuries; muscle/postural imbalances; repetitive strain injuries; movement dysfunctions; post operative rehabilitation and those requiring assistance in management of chronic conditions to some of Canada’s most elite athletes. Matt has worked with several of Canada’s National Teams, multiple Olympians, World Champions and professional athletes. In 2012 Matt had the honour of travelling to the London Olympics with the Canadian Olympic Rowing Team. In his spare time Matt enjoys a lot of different sports and has competed in several to a high level.
