We closed on the final day of their 1031-exchange period,” said Zang. “Uniquely, we found a buyer from the New York metro with family ties to nearby Towson University. The accumulation of the buyer’s 1031 need, and this site’s proximity to the University allowed us to ex- ecute this sale at a strong cap rate, despite the price point” concluded Zang.

The asset sold for $7.48 million which repre- sents one of the highest priced Wawa transactions executed in the Mid-Atlantic Region to date. Dean Zang , senior manag- ing director of investments in Marcus & Millichap’s Wash- ington, D.C. office, had the listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a re- lated entity to Buccini Pollin Group . In his new role, Singer is responsible for leasing and marketing efforts at a number of properties within LMC’s shopping center portfolio. In Pennsylvania, this includes Fairlane Village Mall in Potts- ville, Bradford Plaza in West Chester, Rising Sun Plaza and Morrell Plaza in Philadelphia, and Centre Plaza in Bensa- lem.
