About you
Qualifications: • Membership of a recognised building services/estates management professional body e.g. IWFM, CEng, RICS, CIOB, CIBSEc. • Health and Safety Qualification: IOSHManaging Safely or equivalent Skills and experience: • Team leadership at a senior level, able to lead by encouragement as well as by managing performance • Experience of a facilities or property management role in a large, multi-site organisation, with multiple stakeholders, ideally within the education sector • Experience of undertaking condition surveys and formulating life cycle and long-termmaintenance plans. • Knowledge of statutory buildings legislation including Building Regulations, L8, DDA, COSHH, Asbestos, CDM regulations, ACOPs etc. • Contract management skills, including contractor supervision, management and monitoring • Experience of using a CAFM system and configuring it to use the management information output for planning strategy • Experience of procurement procedures including writing project business cases, briefs and specifications to tender evaluation and award. • Budgetary management experience • Excellent records, document and data management, including asset databases and management of assets • Self-motivated with strong sense of strategy and forward vision • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects to deadline and budget • Personable, supportive and able to motivate a team, working collaboratively towards a culture which engages colleagues and fosters ideas • Strong belief in the continuous improvement of customer service • Diplomacy and sense of humour • Be willing to work flexibly and outside normal school hours if reasonably requested to do so.
