procurement process • To support the development of the mechanical and electrical budget • To support the development of reports, including utility budgets and energy reports. • To support the Museum in relevant works where required Project Delivery • Manage the delivery of multiple capital improvement projects on all sites within M&E, including major infrastructure projects to the value of up to £1 million, in line with the museums procurement policy, H&S policy, sustainability policy and operational needs. Including project and design management from inception to hand-over. • Advise and support colleagues and external professionals; consultants, architects, project managers, caterers etc. on special projects ensuring the RMG’s interests are met and to provide technical advice and information as required 3. Other responsibilities: • Sustainability – ensure their ways of working meet the museums values around sustainability. • Health and Safety – observe all Health and Safety rules and procedures as laid down and attend all relevant training as required. • Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) – build a departmental culture which values and promotes a positive attitude to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. • Carry out any other duties when required.

Recommend improvements where required. • Act as the Responsible Person in accordance with British Standards and Regulations. Including, but not limited to L8, PUWER, PSSR. Including, DECS, ESOS TM44, Environment Agency. To schedule and log servicing and certification • Identify and raise business continuity and risk management requirements • Manage emergency and reactive repairs and small works with term and specialist contractors • In collaboration with the Collections Department report on environmental conditions within galleries and stores. Monitor and advise on the environmental control equipment, via the M&E term contractor, recommend areas of improvement. • Oversee the estates utility provision, including gas, electrical and water supplies to all sites. • Manage the efficient use of energy around the estate. Audit and report on usage, identify and implement energy saving measures to minimise expenditure and promote sustainability improvements. • To manage and maintain the portfolio of utility accounts, ensure regular and accurate payment against consumption. • Support in the preparation and procurement
