RBC Donation to Hawkesbury Central Food Bank
The RBC Foundation recently donated a check for $2,500 to the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank. Seen above is Liane Larocque, Branch Manager of the Hawkesbury RBC, handing the check to the Food Bank coordinator, Suzie Hinson. Each year before Christmas, RBC donates to the Hawkesbury Food Bank. Funds are used for Christmas baskets and for other things as necessary after the holidays.
A Christmas Nativity in Vankleek Hill
A Miracle on Mill Street will be presented in Vankleek Hill this Christmas Eve. There will be a live nativity scene at the corner of Mill and Bertha streets on December 24, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Viewing will take place from Mill Street. All the biblical characters complete with local sheep, donkey and calf will be there for viewing. All are welcome to attend this free event brought to you by the spirit of Christmas. All that is asked is a gift of non-perishable food items in support of the Vankleek Hill food bank. – Diane Hunter
