Laundry If you are not provided with a uniform your business attire will be dry cleaned for your free of charge. It is your responsibility to adhere to the grooming standards in your department and ensure your outfit is clean, well pressed in good condition.
You may submit up to 8 jackets, 8 trousers or skirts, 24 shirts or blouses, 8 neckties or scarves up to a total of 48 garments for free dry cleaning per month. If you exceed this limit or have personal items to dry clean you will be charged a special colleague discount rate.
Please do not ask the laundry to wash items by hand. No under garments will be accepted.
The laundry will service guest requirements as a priority so please leave at least 48 hours before collecting your laundry and ensure you collect your items within one week.
All due care it taken, but no compensation is available if any items are damaged in the cleaning process.
Colleague Complimentary & Discounted Room Rates Shangri-La Group offers complimentary & discounted room rates for colleagues. All you need to do is visit the Shangri-La website to find out the colleague discount rate at any hotel and make a booking. Discounted room rates are not available during busy trading periods. You will be eligible to have complimentary room booking after completing one year service within Shangri-la Group Hotels. Please discuss with HR Division to find out the details. Family and Friends Discounted Room Rates We are pleased to offer a special discounted rate for your friends and family to stay as a guest at Shangri-La Dubai. The rate and availability of the discount will vary depending on the level of occupancy in the hotel. You can make the request to the Director of Revenue Optimization and rooms will be blocked subject to availability. P Food and Beverage Discounts So that you can sample the guest experience, all colleagues are given a 50% discount on food and beverages and take away cakes at Shangri-La Dubai. When dining, make your booking through restaurant reservations and complete a Colleague Food and Beverage Discount Form. To order a cake, complete a ‘Cake requisition Form’ and take it to the In - Room Dining Office. P – Food and Beverage Discounts for Colleagues
