Gifts, Business Meals, and Entertainment Policy
The group recognizes that there will be circumstances when it is appropriate, out of courtesy, relationship building or cultural norms, to give or receive small gifts or nominal value or reasonable business meals or entertainment to or from business associates.
Employees must not solicit, either for themselves or any other person, any form of advantage in connection with the performance of their duties for the group.
Employees must decline any advantage (including without limitation gifts, meals, and entertainment) that could compromise, or appear to compromise, their ability to make objective and fair business decisions in the interests of the Group.
Employees must always exercise good judgement and moderation in receiving gifts, meals, and entertainment.
Employees may accept the following gifts without disclosing them to the HR: 1. Gifts that are handed out as normal gestures of social courtesy, such as year-end calendars, memo pads, diaries and planners, and mementos/stationary/souvenirs with no or nominal commercial value. 2. Promotional or marketing items for their participation in conferences, seminars, and corporate events. Employees must decline any gift with a value of over US$100 (being commercial value, cash value or cash equivalent value) Employees must disclose receipt of the following gifts to the HR using the Declaration Procedures Form: 1. If a gift is of a value of over US$100 (being commercial value, cash value or cash equivalent value) but cannot be declined or returned due to cultural or social norms: or
2. If liquor is offered as a gift (e.g., a bottle of wine)
After disclosure, the HR may decide whether the gifts shall be retained or donated to the Group or charity.
Colleague Lounge The Colleague Lounge is located next to Human Resources. You can use it at any time you are on a break to take a rest. It is a quiet area, so no music is allowed. Prayer Room Prayer rooms with ablution facilities for both males and females are located in the car park on B3.
