Visitors You are welcome to have friends and family visit you, but you must follow the guidelines to ensure other colleagues’ safety and privacy is respected and the laws of the UAE are upheld.

You are responsible for the conduct of your visitors and are liable for any damage caused by them. Please make sure they are aware of the accommodation rules.

Visitors who are not colleagues of Shangri-La Dubai may not use any colleague facilities or travel on company provided transport.

You may have up to 2 visitors at a time, maximum of twice a week between the hours of 09:00 – 23:00. If you live in an apartment, you may have additional visitors if you have the agreement of your flat mates.

Visitors of the opposite gender may not enter the bedrooms at any time.

Visitors at the Service Associates accommodation are welcome in the communal areas but may not enter the bedrooms at any time.

Your visitor must register with Security prior to entering the building.

Requests to Move If you would like to request a room/apartment move, please put your request in writing and submit to the Human Resources.

Moves may only take place once the request is approved in writing.

Accommodation Rules Whilst we want you to feel at home, we also want to ensure you live in an environment where you feel comfortable and safe, and we abide by the laws of the UAE.

Here are the standard rules that apply regardless of where you live. In addition, you will be given specific rules that apply to your building.

Noise Keep the volume of entertainment systems to a minimum level to avoid disturbing your room mates and neighbors.

Quiet hours are between 23:00 – 07:00. Quiet hours mean no noise. Please consider other colleagues who may be sleeping.

Cleanliness You are jointly responsible with your roommate/flat mates for the cleanliness and hygiene of your room/apartment. Room inspections are carried out on a regular basis to ensure compliance with cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards. If your room/apartment does not comply with standards, you will be given 48 hours to amend the situation. After this
