You do not need your manager’s approval to apply for a vacancy, but you must advise them that you are applying.

All vacancies within Shangri-La Dubai are posted on notice boards as well as the TMS. If you are interested in applying for a job, please contact a member of the recruitment team. If you meet the criteria for the role, you will be given an interview. If you are not successful, you will receive feedback how you can improve.

When You Leave…

Once your resignation has been acknowledged and discussed with you, Human Resources Department will guide you to ensure you finalize the documents required and the final settlement before you leave.

Repatriation Air Tickets

If you resign before the completion of 24 months of service or if the employment is terminated for a reason attributable to you then you will be responsible for your own repatriation costs. However, should you have completed 24 months and then resign, the Hotel will book your ticket to your “Point of Repatriation” or as agreed by both parties. Repatriation ticket will not apply if you are resigning to take up a job with another company/ business in the UAE or if your employment is terminated for a reason attributable to you, regardless of years of service. Notice Period Your letter of appointment states the notice period you should provide after the resignation date. If the notice period is not completed, then salary may be deducted for the rest of the days you did not work. Clearance & Departure Interview The Clearance form must be completed after your resignation has been confirmed in writing. As part of it, you must return hotel’s belongings like keys, cash float, manuals, Ids, electronic devices. The Departure Interview process is online and HR team will send you the form to complete online. We will ask you to provide honest feedback which helps us to improve. You may be invited for an exit interview with the HR team member, a confidential meeting where you can provide details on your work environment.

Your final salary will be deposited in your salary registered bank account in UAE. Service charge will be paid according to the hotel policy.
