JANUARY 2026

franklinbuildingsupply.com | 208-514-2200 | 9222 W. Barnes Dr., Boise, ID 83709 Celebrating 50 Years and a New Season of Growth

I’m excited to share significant news about our company’s future: Franklin Building Supply has acquired Snake River Truss and Components in Idaho Falls. This acquisition marks an important milestone in our expansion into Eastern Idaho and immediately expands our ability to serve customers in the region. Snake River Truss has been a trusted name in Eastern Idaho for over 13 years, known for quality, reliability, and customer relationships. They built something valuable, and that’s exactly why we chose to acquire them rather than start from scratch. Their entire team is joining Franklin as employee-owners, bringing their expertise and relationships into our growing business.

This acquisition is part of a comprehensive Eastern Idaho expansion strategy. We opened a new lumberyard and store in

Idaho Falls in November 2025, and we’re planning to open a new, larger full-service facility in Q2 of 2026. The Snake River Truss facility will play a key role in this vision, and we’ll invest in upgrades and expanded capabilities as we go into 2026.

To our new employee-owners from Snake River Truss: Welcome to Franklin. You’re joining a company that’s been employee-owned

As employee-owners, we all benefit when Franklin grows strategically. This acquisition does several important things for our company and for each of us. • First, it immediately expands our market presence and manufacturing capacity in a high-growth region.

since 2015, which means you’re not just joining a team — you’re becoming an owner. Your success is our success, and our collective success builds wealth for everyone. It’s a privilege for us to help steward this next chapter in the Snake River Truss legacy.

Eastern Idaho’s construction market is strong, and we’re now positioned to serve it with lumber, building materials, and truss manufacturing. • Second, it strengthens the value we’re all

2026 is an especially exciting year for Franklin Building Supply. This year, we celebrate our 50th anniversary, which we’ll recognize throughout the year, and we just finished our 10th year as a 100% employee-

owned company. We’ve significantly increased market shares across our locations in recent years, and now we’re entering a season of expansion into new markets, whether through building or buying, with Idaho Falls being first, and then other markets to follow in the years ahead.

building together through our ESOP. Smart expansion into new markets creates opportunity for increased revenue and profitability, which directly impacts the value of every employee-owner’s stake in Franklin. • Third, it demonstrates our commitment to our vision, To Make Building Easy, and to execute that vision through our four key tenets: Safe, Guide, Wow, and Strive. We’re not just growing for the sake of growth. We’re expanding thoughtfully, preserving what works, and investing in our people and capabilities to better serve customers and increase long-term value for employee-owners.

Here’s to 50 years and a season of growth and shared success,

-Levi Smith PRESIDENT

HIGH FIVES!

SAFE From: Jared Evans, Twin Falls To: Scott Ranstrom, Twin Falls

[Thank you for] moving the heavy compressors down to a lower area so we do not have to lift them above our chest to put them up on display. EASY From: Corporate Purchasing Team To: Amber Hall, Kevin Teague, Jonathan Sanches, Boise We would like to give a high five to Amber, Kevin, and Jonathan for their extra efforts to help make building easy. The Boise Yard experienced a derailment on its railroad spur. While the spur was being repaired, the rail cars were diverted to the TVID Exterior yard. Amber, Kevin, and Jonathan figured out how to unload those cars without a dock and ensured materials were transported back to the Boise Yard. This kept materials flowing for our customers, and orders never skipped a beat. Well done, team! STRIVE From: Mike Montoya, Weyerhaeuser Rep To: McCall and Caldwell Yards Yesterday, our Weyerhaeuser rep, Mike Montoya, gave high praise to the McCall and Caldwell yards for their well- structured return processes. Their systems are organized, consistent, and designed to keep operations running smoothly, making returns efficient and accurate every time. Great work to both teams for setting the bar high!

WOW From: Scott Alpha, Boise To: Patty Mcdonel, Caldwell

I just need you all to know how much I appreciate working with Patty. She is such an amazing teammate, always going above and beyond, helping me to achieve success with my clients. We are truly blessed to have her on the team, and I have to tell you I couldn’t be nearly as successful without her! GUIDE

From: Coltin Millward, Idaho Falls To: Whitney McNeill, Idaho Falls I don’t know many female load builders, but Whitney was adamant she wanted to learn to build loads. So, she took it upon herself to get forklift certified and get cross- trained to build loads here in Idaho Falls! She has already jumped in a couple of times and helped build loads or load a customer when others are otherwise occupied. I appreciate her dedication to the team and her ability to always lend a helping hand!

Justin Brown Makes the Difference at FBS

From Gap Job to Lifelong Career JUSTIN BROWN’S 26-YEAR JOURNEY AT FBS

At Franklin Building Supply, our success has always been built on the people who show up every day with dedication, skill, and determination. We believe our team members are the foundation of everything we do, from the relationships we build to the quality we deliver on every job site. That’s why we love taking the time to spotlight individuals who embody our values and go above and beyond for our customers and coworkers alike. This month, we’re proud to recognize Justin Brown, a Project Manager with an incredible 26 years at Franklin Building Supply. Based out of our TVID Exterior Siding location, Justin is one of the key project managers for our installed siding program. If you ask him about his role, he’ll tell

you he’s here to make sure siding installations go smoothly, with quality results and peace of mind for everyone involved. A day in Justin’s shoes means filling the gap between builders and installers through coordinating schedules, solving problems on the fly, and ensuring our siding products are installed safely, on time, and to Franklin’s high standards. He takes pride in being someone builders and subcontractors can rely on, knowing he’ll step in, find solutions, and help them work more efficiently. Safety is a major part of Justin’s role. He keeps a constant eye out for potential hazards, corrects issues before they escalate, and leads by example to earn the respect of installers on site.

For Justin, what began as a “gap job” turned into a lifelong career. His motivation comes from his goals and his vision for the future. Outside of work, he channels his creativity into welding and fabrication, building custom cars, attending car shows, and enjoying camping adventures. Justin’s commitment, problem- solving mindset, and passion make him an amazing part of our FBS family, and we’re grateful to have him on our team.
