Commitment on the road to Net-Zero
With the publication of the Climate Transi- tion Plan (CTP) in accordance with ESRS, the Zumtobel Group has a strategic roadmap for achieving its Net-Zero targets. Specific target values have been defined for the individual decarbonisation levers. Key contributions to the decarbonisation of the company’s own operations were achieved through the expansion of renewa- ble energy and the gradual electrification of the global vehicle fleet. The Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction target of 9,000 tonnes of CO₂e at the production sites was achieved or exceeded during the 2025/26 financial year. The implementation of further decarbonisa- tion measures in sourcing, energy efficiency and the product portfolio supports the achievement of medium- and long-term climate targets across the entire value chain.
The emission reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) provide the binding framework for the Zumto- bel Group’s transformation pathway towards Net-Zero by 2050. With the published Climate Transition Plan (CTP), specific decarboni- sation levers have been defined across the entire value chain and firmly embedded in the corporate and sustainability strategy. The Zumtobel Group actively supports its customers in achieving their climate targets through energy-efficient lighting solutions and new circular services that make a signi- ficant contribution to reducing emissions in buildings and infrastructure. Through the consistent implementation of measures relating to emissions reduction, energy efficiency and sustainable sourcing, further progress was achieved on the path to Net-Zero during the 2025/26 financial year.
