For selected product lines, the Zumtobel Group is offering a Remanufacturing Service for the first time, enabling the refurbishment and reuse of luminaires. The Circular Design Rules are an integral part of product development and create the conditions for the refurbishment and reuse of products through design for disassembly, repairability and spare part availability. The increased use of recycled materials supports the reduction of raw material con- sumption and emissions across the entire product life cycle.
The Circular Economy enables the reuse, refurbishment and recycling of products and materials and therefore contributes to the efficient use of natural resources. New regulatory requirements are continuous- ly monitored and integrated into the further development of products and processes. By developing circular business models, such as remanufacturing services, new economic and environmental opportunities are unlocked for both customers and the company.
