The 2025/26 Sustainability Report opens with an interview with CEO Alfred Felder and Sustainability Director Sebastian Gann. Together, they discuss current trends and the progress made, reflect on the five-year history of the Zumtobel Group’s sustainability goals, and look ahead to future plans.

To get started: the lighting management platform LightingGO features on the cover of this year’s sustainability report. What’s the story behind it? Alfred Felder: LightingGO is an essential instrument for sustainability. The system brings the expertise of the Zumtobel Group together with its brands Zumtobel, Thorn and Tridonic, whilst also reflecting our sus- tainability goals of reducing emissions, pro- moting a circular economy and developing sustainable partnerships. At the heart of this are intelligent drivers, such as those from Tridonic: They enable the transfer of data – including data that, for example, allows the use of luminaires to be optimised, enabling a reduction of energy consumption. They also increasingly provide data that offers insights into the condition of the luminaire, meaning maintenance or repairs can be planned in advance and consequently extending its
service life. Overall, this integrated solution supports our customers and partners in meeting the rising demands for energy efficiency, decarbonisation and building performance.
What can readers expect from this year’s sustainability report?
Sebastian Gann: The report highlights our progress. It shows that every single measure contributes to the bigger picture and that we are continuously moving towards a more sustainable future. Examples of our progress are lighting management systems, that allow already energy-efficient luminaires to be operated even more energy-efficiently, or our portfolio of circular services, which now of- fers a remanufacturing option.
