Commercial Replacements We will again be offering replacements heifers from the heart of some of our best customers’ programs. These females will be a unique opportunity for folks looking to fast track their programs with many of the same genetics that have been offered in the bulls. We will sell these groups of females by age, starting with the older heavier heifers and moving towards the younger end. As always, the protocol for these consignments will be to have had their bangs vaccinations, pre breeding shots, and wormed on top of progressive calf vaccination programs. Lots 50-89: 40 Red Angus Commercial Replacements from Smith Land and Cattle The Smith family has been customers and friends for as long as I can remember. They have systematically purchased sets of females from us as they have expanded their cowherd, and procure some of the best bulls offered in each sale. Progressive and uncompromising in what it takes to be successful in agriculture is what comes to mind about this operation. These females will have generations of York Creek Red Angus blood and a management scheme to highlight that genetic potential. Heifers have been running out on stalks since weaning and are broke to a cake truck. Lots 90-99: 10 Red Angus Commercial Replacements from Larry Ratashak, Thurman IA We will be offering a draft of one of the better sets of heifers you are going to find in Southwest Iowa. Larry has always bought our best bulls we have on offer, and if you were to stop by you would notice the expectation level is higher on these cattle than in many places. These heifers have not been pampered, and have been still running out on grass through the first of the year. Larry is a staunch believer in low input genetics, and these females earn their keep. Expect them to hit the ground running come nicer weather. These heifers will come with a green tag herd vaccination program, pre breeding and bangs vaccinations, and wormed prior to the sale. Commercial Bred Heifers New for 2026, we are excited to have the opportunity to offer an outstanding set of bred heifers all bred to low birthweight red angus bulls. We will have them sorted by consignor and calving date. They can be bought by gate cut or take the entire group. This is a great opportunity to build back some cow numbers with elite females. While I realize the market is high and these bred females are commanding quite a price, feel confident that these will have the quality and consistency to turn that ROI. Lots 100-124: 25 Red Angus AI Bred Heifers from Jim Carr, Burwell NE Jim is as seasoned as any in the cattle business, and runs a diversified ranching outfit in the eastern sandhills. With an enterprise mix including cow calf, backgrounding, bull development, and custom AI services, he knows a good one when he sees it. All carrying AI service to the popular Bieber Energize, they are due to calf March 10. These heifers are summered on native sandhills range and then brought home to winter on a high roughage TMR before calving. They have had all their shots, wormed, received their first scour bos vaccination, and are pelvic measured. Lots 125-174: 20 Red Angus Bred Heifers from Richard Bruck, Persia IA Richard is one of our very best customers and year in and out he finds the good ones. These heifers have all been bred to high sellers from the last few sales. They have been running out on cornstalks and will be in good condition going into calving. These heifers have been sorted for calving date and come with all their shots and have received both rounds of scour bos.
