About Sekibokka
Sekibokka (Shikihana Co. Ltd.) is a bonsai plant creation unit from the Yamagata Prefecture in Japan.
With the goal of preserving the “Japanese traditional gardening culture”, bonsai plant enthusiast, Takuya Goto has been persistently exploring creative ways of displaying this unique tradition in its most exquisite form.
These palm-sized miniature bonsai plants, careful planted in hand made pots, brings a little bit more of nature into your urban life.
Sekibokka aims to share with more people, the joy of caring and feeling the beauty of nature .
Serissa japonica 白鳥花
Available in S : 12cm x 5cm x 5cm
Description: With flowers that bloom twice a year, in spring and fall, the fun is doubled. In Japan, it is called the swan flower because of its pure white flowers.
Plant Care: Recommended to water once a day. Keep in well-ventilated, bright semi-shade.
Contoneaster horizontalis 白紫檀
Available in S: 12cm x 5cm x 5cm Available in M: 18cm x 10cm x 10cm
Description: White flowers bloom in spring, followed by blue berries. The fruits turn red in the fall and look lovely like a small apple tree. Plant Care: Recommended to water twice a day. Use a spray/ mister on the leaves. Keep in well-ventilated, bright semi-shade. Avoid strong direct sunlight or afternoon sun as this can cause the leaves to burn and rapid water loss.
Chamaecyparis obtuse 桧
Available in M: 18cm x 10cm x 10cm
Recommended for beginner plant growers. Description: A mountain range cypress with a quaint appearance that resembles an old tree. Branches and leaves grow very slowly compared to normal cypress and other plants.This also has the advantage that the leaves grow only a little each year, so the shape of the tree shape is easy to maintain.
