Yes and no… In the Commonwealth of Virginia, patients who carry Medicare as their health insurer do require a prescription; however, if you are one of the millions of Americans with any insurance other than Medicare, or no health insurance, you can be seen right away for physical therapy. The state of Virginia allows us to see you for 30 days without a prescription from your Doctor. This gives you the opportunity to be seen right away and begin the process of getting out of pain. In the meantime, we will send your doctor our evaluation and work together with them to give you the best plan for success.
