ATTENDANCE Levine Academy’s Attendance Policy promotes regular class attendance as an integral part of the learning process and an atmosphere in which learning may take place. Parents are asked to cooperate in teaching their children respect for school hours by arriving to school on time and not requesting early dismissal except in case of emergency. Students are expected to attend all classes, services, and assemblies. - School begins at 8:00 A.M. unless there is a publicized schedule change. - Middle School students are expected to arrive school at 7:50 A.M., be seated in his/her advisory class by 7:55 A.M., and in services/Iyun Tefillah at 8:00 A.M.. - Students are allowed in classrooms beginning at 7:40 A.M. Students arriving between 7:25 A.M. and 7:40 A.M. will be supervised in the Multi-Purpose Room. Students must have a book to read or something on which to work. - Teachers are on carpool duty from 7:40-7:55 A.M. every day. Parents choosing to walk students into the building will use the crosswalk and stay with their child(ren) at all times. - Please park in officially designated parking spaces. - When carpool attendants are no longer on duty (after 7:55 A.M.), students are considered tardy and parents must accompany the student to the Greeter’s desk to sign-in. - Drivers should NEVER use cell phones or have children or pets on laps when driving carpool. Dismissal - All First through Eighth Grade students are dismissed from Beit Aryeh. Kindergarteners dismiss through the Early Childhood entrance. - Kindergarten students are dismissed at 3:00 P.M. daily. - Students in grades First-Fourth are dismissed at 3:30 P.M. daily. - Middle School students are dismissed at 4:00 P.M. daily. - Students enrolled in Educare or after-school activities are dismissed accordingly. - Students not picked-up by 3:45 P.M. are sent to Aftercare. Arrival

Absences - If your child will be absent from school, please notify the school by 9:00 A.M.

Appointments - Students leaving school early for an appointment require parent sign-out at the Greeter’s desk. - Students are not released from class until the parent arrives at school. BEHAVIOR AND DISCIPLINE Levine Academy encourages a positive learning environment and the fulfillment of the school’s mission. Students have the right to develop academically, spiritually and socially in a safe environment. The Ethical Covenant ensures each child enjoys the daily experiences provided by the Levine Academy community. When a student is unable to behave according to these principles, s/he can expect verbal warnings, parent notification, loss of privileges, and/or a conference with the Principal or Head of School. Severe or excessive incidents will result in detention, suspension or expulsion. School Jurisdiction - Levine Academy expects its students to exemplify good citizenship on campus and away from school. - The school reserves the right to hold students accountable for actions that reflect badly on the school or jeopardize the safety or well-being of other students, even if the actions occur off campus at a non-school event.
