As part of our academic requirement most of us had a physical education class. Whether it was actual Physical Education (P.E.), a hiking trip (second year) or a sports team, it was more than showing up. As sinful individuals, we’re all aware of not always liking to do work, especially with other people. Every moment of our lives is an opportunity to represent Christ. As Christians, we’re called to take our lives seriously in light of the gospel. That doesn’t mean we can’t be competitive or have fun, but it means that we need to remember who owns us if we are truly in Christ. We are a part of a wonderful family, an eternal family, and with this we are given the privilege to live freely in Christ. Our family identity can be played out in P.E. too. Our lives, as we mature, can and should become acts of worship – our hearts overflowing with the love of Jesus. From to P.E. class to soccer, there should be an outpouring of our already full cups.
