All Night Long
There aren’t many things that would drive college students to surrender a night’s rest and volunteer for an all-night youth rally. Reverb is one of those experiences. A night of unmatched excitement, Word of Life students volunteer their Friday night to share the gospel with students all over the country. When asked to summarize her experience, Emily Talento said, “Reverb is an over-the-top, outside-the-box way to reach kids with the gospel who wouldn’t necessarily be reached otherwise.” Tyler Critchlow says, “Reverb is a great tool to use to deliver the gospel because we get to meet the people where they are.” This gospel-centered mindset is what drives WOLBI students to keep the excitement despite lack of sleep. This life-changing evening begins with hockey and ends with a night of bowling and games, but sandwiched in between is the focus of the evening: the gospel. Middle and high school students who do not regularly attend church are met with the reality of Christ. Throughout this year, 11,729 students heard the Good News of Jesus, and 674 accepted Him as their personal Savior. Reverb is an event unlike others, and as Jordan Johnson said, “Losing a night of sleep is nothing in comparison to watching God transform lives.”
