Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 2018

real life. real impact. “OAE seemed to open up a whole new aspect of my life as a Christian. I didn’t exactly think that talking to someone for at most an hour would do much for a sincere relationship with God. However, I saw the Lord planting seeds through me; I was encouraged that I could at least get these lost people thinking about eternity. The gospel was considered, argued, and occasionally rejected for me, but it is a great reminder that we are the middle men. God changes lives!” – Andrew Beckley “To think we spent the weekend at the city exploring what I thought initially to be just a place for entertainment for my selfish pleasure turned into a destination to reach the lost. OAE definitely opened my eyes to the wickedness of this world and those of it. While my perspective shifted to the reality of this sinful world, I am now fully aware of the sweetness of the gospel. It’s my prayer to have a deeper burden for the unreachable to the degree that Paul was, where I would be willing to be this self-sacrificing individual for the sake of the lost. To live a gospel driven-life you can pick or choose what you want to take from it!” – Iveth Gaona “OAE is one of the most stretching things you’ll ever do. You get to see the depravity of man, but you also get to see the Scriptures come to life in “But God” moments.” – AnnaMarie Skoczen “I had a conversation with a Ukrainian woman, and as I was explaining the gospel to her, she stopped me and said, “You’re really passionate about this Jesus, huh?” She didn’t make a profession of faith, but she heard the gospel and saw that I believed what I was telling her.” – Molly Jack
