There were so many emotions surrounding opening weekend. One by one, packed cars pulled into the parking lot of the Jack Wyrtzen Center, and eager students began to make their way to the registration line. They piled their arms high with luggage, pillows, and boxes, while parents smiled and tried to stifle their mixed feelings of sadness and excitement. All at once, we experienced a whirlwind of information, important papers, and introductions. It wasn’t long, however, before students could be seen hanging out in groups, and we began to adjust to our new surroundings. For many of us, opening weekend at the Bible Institute marks the starting line of a new era as we leave home to spend a year digging into God’s Word. Eventually, students and parents said their bittersweet goodbyes, and while the weekend had come to a close, the adventure was just beginning. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS
