‘TWAS THE WEEK BEFORE VACATION
‘Twas the week before vacation and all through the school, Not a student was studying; the Bollback was full! The decorations were hung in the dorms with great care, In hopes that some visitors soon would be there. Wrapping paper on doors and trees on the beds, While a million Christmas lights dangled above our heads.
And with all of this clutter in the room like a trap, We could be certain that no one would nap. Then away to the Bollback we flew like a flash, Where we found a sweet treasure: a huge cookie stash!
At the photo booth we had to gather around, To get the best snapshot, with friends to surround. As the night came to an end, the RA’s gave a whistle, And away we all flew like the down of a thistle.
When what to our wondering eyes should appear?
But we heard Roger exclaim as we disappeared from sight,
But the ugliest sweaters with elves and reindeer!
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
