MISSIONS CONFERENCE
“Every Christian a global Christian... every global Christian a mobilizer.”
Our world is so much more than just a planet spinning through the vast expanse of outer space. Our world is home to 7 billion people – men and women created by God and designed to have a personal relationship with Him. Sadly, of those 7 billion people alive today, only about 2 billion profess to know Jesus Christ as Savior. This means that 5 billion people on earth right now still need to hear the good news of the Gospel! It is this statistic that fueled Todd Ahrend’s argument for why more missionaries must rise up and take the good news where it is needed most as he spoke during this year’s missions conference. Todd mentioned what is known as “the 10/40 window” several times over the course of the weekend. The 10/40 window is the region of our world that is the least evangelized, including India, much of Africa, and the Middle East. Todd went on in further discussion to explain that if the need to go to the 10/40 window wasn’t already great enough, people from many of these countries are now coming to us by attending universities in America. This is an incredible opportunity to reach the 10/40 window without ever having to lift a foot off American soil! Don Lough later shared his passion for the global unreached. “We think small,” he stated. “But God thinks about the whole world.”
