The ministry of every weekend centered around the three main rallies that took place on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday morning. On Friday night, the Gospel message was delivered by a guest speaker, and campers were invited to make a decision to ask Jesus to be their Savior. On Saturday, a drama was presented that depicted the “always and forever love” that God has for all of us and how His desire is to heal the brokenness in our lives. Finally, the weekend ended with a closing challenge to campers to dedicate their lives in service to Jesus. For seven weekends in a row, we saw crosses that were covered in strings, representing so many lives who were committed to Christ because of the decisions made at Snowcamp. Over a span of seven weekends, we saw hundreds of teens visit our campus for Snowcamp. Whether it was working outdoors, serving in the cafe and snack shack, running activities, doing maintenance and housekeeping, counseling and unit leading, or helping with any sort of job around the campus, every work area had a purpose, and each was equally important. Some weekends, we were in the front lines with students as their counselors. We met needs, answered questions, ran back and forth to activities and rallies, and had deep conversations that, at times, led to incredible decisions and breakthroughs. Other times, we didn’t get to see a lot of the action but equipped and enabled those in counseling positions to fulfill their purpose by serving in ways that often went unnoticed. Yet, through it all, God was glorified, and campers’ lives were forever changed through surrendering to Jesus.
