We provide a wide variety of activities, community programs, and special events. Our special events draw the entire community, which truly provides a hometown feel! DIVE IN MOVIE

Our Dive ln Movies take place at the Romeoville Aquatic Center. These events allow kids of all ages to swim, while also watching a movie projected inside the facility! We reach full capacity at these events, with about 200 participants in the pool. ENCHANTED BALL

Our Enchanted Ball event on February 7th , allows special bonding time between parents/guardians and their children. This year we will step into the magical Land of Oz with our “Wicked” theme. This evening will be filled with food, dancing, character meet and greet, crafts, and more.

BEACH PARTY GYMNASTICS COMPETITION

Our Beach Party Gymnastics Competition is a multi-day event hosted at the Romeoville Recreation Center for AAU Levels 2 - Optional, XCEL & Adults, Co-Ed, and Special Stars. Teams and families from all around the Chicagoland area participate and attend this competition.

March 14-15 - This event draws anywhere from 1,200-1,500 spectators.

AQUA EGG HUNT

Aqua Egg Hunt this aquatic event puts a splashy spin on the traditional egg hunt by moving the fun into the pool, where participant dive in and collect as many floating eggas they can. Prizes await those who find the lucky golden eggs. After the hunt, families can stay and enjoy Open Swim all afternoon.

Held on March 22nd this event has 200-400 participants that attend annually.

CRAFT SHOWS

The Springtide Craft Show and Autumn Colors Craft Show are two of the Village’s longest-running annual events. Both events offer free admission and free parking, drawing thousands of residents and visitors who come to shop a diverse selection of handmade and one-of-a-kind goods. Each show consistently attracts approximately 1,500–2,000 attendees, providing sponsors with valuable exposure to a large and engaged audience.

HOPPY HOUND EGG HUNT

The Hoppy Hound Egg Hunt is a free community event designed for dogs and their families, featuring prize opportunities, interactive egg hunting, and plenty of playtime. Our Red Carpet Dance Competition is a single day event hosted at the Romeoville Recreation Center for cheer, dance and poms through the Illinois Park District Drill Conference. Teams and families from all around the Chicagoland area participate and attend this competition.

PARK PARTIES

Park Parties are outdoor community events hosted at various locations that celebrate the beauty of our parks and neighborhoods through family-friendly activities and entertainment. The Cooperative Park Party is a large-scale celebration hosted in partnership with the Lockport Township Park District, while the Community Day of Play is a large-scale event presented in collaboration with the Plainfield Park District. Each of these events typically draws between 300–1,000 attendees.

3RD OF JULY FIREWORKS

The Village of Romeoville offers two simultaneous 3rd of July fireworks shows to celebrate Independence Day. This allows Romeoville residents to view a show from the comfort of their own neighborhoods no matter where they live.

The two shows are based from: Village Park and Discovery Park. Both begin at 9:30pm and are choreographed with radio station Star 96.7 FM.

ROMEOFEST COLOR RUN

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

The Romeoville Festival of Lights is a must-see holiday spectacle, featuring more than 60 illuminated displays shining nightly from November 18 through January 3 . Holiday light enthusiasts can experience the magic from the comfort of their car, then park and explore the displays up close for a more personal view. Dazzling lights stretch along Grand Avenue, while premier 3D sculptures transform the lawn in front of Romeoville Village Hall. The show- stopping centerpieces include a towering 30-foot Christmas tree and a majestic 32-foot walk- through castle, complete with an enchanting walk-thru holiday experience.

WINTER WONDERLAND

Our Winter Wonderland event on December 4th and 5th features two unforgettable evenings filled with holiday magic and family fun. The festive celebration includes our holiday market, photos with Santa, live reindeer, train rides, ice skating, hayrides, food trucks, and so much more. With an incredible turnout drawing 5,000–10,000 participants over the two nights, Winter Wonderland has become one of Romeoville’s most beloved seasonal traditions!

SPONSORSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Sponsor agrees to these terms and conditions as an integral part of this sponsorship commitment. Please read carefully to avoid any misunderstandings.

1. Cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Discover only) are acceptable forms of payment in person or via telephone. Sponsorship benefits are conditional upon payment of sponsorship fee. If paying by check, please send sponsor payment to: Attention: Sponsorships Romeoville Recreation Center

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy: Sponsorship cancellations must be submitted at least 30 business days prior to the event date(s) to qualify for a full refund. If the Village cancels an event, sponsors may choose to receive either a credit toward another Village event within the same calendar year or a refund.

3. All exclusive sponsorships are awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

4. The Village of Romeoville reserves the exclusive right to review, accept, or decline any sponsorship at our discretion.

5. The sponsor benefits listed in this document for each respective event constitute the entire package of benefits offered to sponsors. The Romeoville Recreation Department is under no obligation to provide additional benefits not mentioned in this document. 6. Deadline to receive all benefits is minimum of 4 weeks prior to the desired event date. The sponsor is not guaranteed placement in promotional materials, schedules, advertising, and public announcements - all logo and name placement depends upon the arrival of artwork and payment. Logos can be e-mailed to mserratore@romeoville.org. Logos will be accepted in pdf, eps, ai, and jpg formats, and both black/white and color versions are preferred.

7. Marketing tables must be staffed at all times during the event. Unstaffed tables will be removed.

8. Approval is required in advance if you plan to include display vehicles, vendors, or entertainment as part of your sponsorship marketing table.

9. Sponsors are prohibited from selling goods or services at any Village of Romeoville event.

10. Unless otherwise stated in writing by the Sponsor, the Sponsor permits the Romeoville Recreation Department to use the Sponsor’s name/logo in promotional materials, advertising, and public announcements relating to the sponsored event without copy approval. The Sponsor further represents and warrants that it has the right to grant this permission.

Conflicts of Interest Policy

The Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and public trust in all sponsorships and partnerships.

A conflict of interest exists when a business’s products, services, or affiliations could compromise, or appear to compromise, the integrity, neutrality, or mission of the Department or the Village of Romeoville.

To address conflicts of interest, the following guidelines shall apply:

1. Businesses Located Outside of Romeoville Businesses determined to present a conflict of interest and that are not physically located within the Village of Romeoville shall not be permitted to sponsor Department events, programs, or initiatives. 2. Businesses Located Within Romeoville Businesses determined to present a conflict of interest but that are physically located within the Village of Romeoville may be accepted as sponsors at the Department’s discretion. In such cases, the Department reserves the right to limit, restrict, or prohibit certain promotional activities, messaging, or materials associated with the sponsorship to ensure alignment with departmental values, policies, and community standards. 3. Final Determination The determination of whether a conflict of interest exists, and the extent of any sponsorship or promotional limitations, shall be made by the Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department. All decisions are final. This policy is intended to balance support for local businesses while safeguarding the integrity and public interest of the Department.
